OKON Inc. was established in 1972 in response to regulatory changes requiring new, low VOC architectural coatings and sealers. The founders recognized a particular need for water-base, clear sealers for concrete and masonry since. Over the years, OKON developed a complete line of low-VOC water-base water-repellents based on a blend of micro-emulsion resins and silane siloxane technology.
In 2005 OKON was purchased by ZINSSER Co., Inc, a division of RPM, and a manufacturer of high-performance specialty paints and primers. ZINSSER has integrated manufacturing and distribution of OKON products into its national operation and provides its full complement of sales and technical support.

OKON water repellent sealers and coatings for concrete and masonry protect porous and non-porous surfaces from the problems caused by water penetration. The OKON line includes two types of water repellents:

1) Deep, penetrating silane-siloxanes which form a chemical bond with the concrete and mortar
2) Acrylic micro emulsions that form a penetrating barrier

Both types of water repellents are designed to reduce water absorption and protect concrete block and brick from structural and cosmetic damage caused by moisture intrusion including efflorescence, freeze-thaw damage, and mold and mildew growth.

OKON water repellent sealers and coatings are designed for all types of concrete and masonry including cast-in-place, tilt-up, pre-cast, stucco, smooth, split face and fluted block, concrete and clay brick, stone and more. The OKON line also includes sealers for flat surfaces including driveways and patios as well as graffiti protection systems.
